The Magic Kingdom...
I have always been a disneyland lover. But I love it even more when you get to go with little ones and watch their eyes light up as early as the parking lot at the thought of going to this magical place. Merry Christmas Marz Family.

Is it bad these are the kinds of things I find entertaining these days?
I want one of these for Christmas. It even comes with the following story...
The Ileum
And the Ostomy
As told by Colin the Colon
This epic saga recounts the journey of our hero, Feceus. We begin near the end of our hero’s passage, in Ileum (the small intestines).
When Feceus tries in vain to reach the outside world via the rectum, he finds his way is blocked. He valiantly fights his way into the colon but can get no further.
The clever Feceus takes his mighty scalpel and severs the colon in twain! He then takes the end and pushes it through the abdominal wall to create a new exit into the world!
This new exit became known as the Stoma in this tale,
The Ostomy!

Last week I had a homeless patient. And he was also a songwriter. Some of the songs he wrote in the hospital were entitled:
"Only the bad dreams come true"
"Love is for losers"
"Infection"
I was lucky enough that he was willing to share his talents with me and I got to hear one of these songs. It made me miss handing out bus tokens to my homeless friends in P-town. For any of you who don't know me and think I am mocking homelessness right now... I'm so not. Seriously these people are my friends :)

Back to my blogging roots...
I decided today I needed to go back to posting about nothing... cause thats originally why I started this blog... to write about the most un-important things in life... like perfume.
Two years ago I was with Amanda and Maggie at Sephora here in Las Vegas and I stumbled across this new scent. The words, "this will totally get you a man" came out of both their mouths. Well friends I am sorry to say that two years later its just about gone and I still don't have a man... So I am opening this up to suggestions for a new perfume that WILL get me a man.

HIGHLIGHTS...
So since I am way behind on the blogging... I thought I would just give you the highlights of my last month...
Went to Utah beginning of August for Cassies wedding. I love weddings... and I especially loved being able to go to the sealing this time! I am super happy for Cassie and am excited for her and Jon. I looked not so great in the pics i took so i will refrain from posting.
That weekend was also wonderful because I got to get together with Maggie, Amanda and Bri. We lived together for about a day but it was the best day ever :) I love how with old friends it doesn't matter how much time goes by without seeing them... you still laugh your head off whenever you are with them. I spent the whole night keeping tabs on what everyone said... girls I think we should start a quote book with our words of wisdom.
SYTYCD - yep when I was in Salt Lake for the wedding, I got an email saying that my name had been called up for tickets to the finale. Luckily my friend Laurel happened to be off on Wed/Thurs so we could go down there! We waited for a while on Wed and we watched the filiming of the group numbers, then when we left they handed us hard tickets for the live finale on thursday. We ended up having some time to hit up the beach and see some of the Hollywood junk. It was a great time!
Salt Lake again... we went up there for about a day to go to the sealing of my aunt kara and uncle alan. My aunt waited forever for my uncle to join the church and it was such a happy day to be there when they were sealed. My whole famliy was there and it was so much fun to spend the day with them!
And now I am finishing the first week of nursing school. First two days were easy cheese... and then it all went to pot. I feel like for three days now I have been living nursing, and by nursing i mean how to bathe people and change their sheets while they are in bed. Good thing we got to practice on each other huh? Disturbing have your classmate give you a bed bath.

RESPONSIBLE...
This is what I used to be but not so much anymore. Just a warning to all those of you who read this... don't ever trust me with anything that is of value to you. Since realizing that I am a person who loses things which only happened about two days ago I managed to lose someones house key and my camera. And sign up sheets at church. And my keys about a 100 times.

Dance Recitals...
Every time I say I won't do another dance recital again, I find myself up on that stage dancing. And Abbie sure was quite the Ballerina this year too. It warms my heart to see she is following in my footsteps...

Two posts in one day...
Sometimes I think the nursing department might have made a mistake in hiring me to shape the futures of the students here at NSC. I mean, I get annoyed when a student comes in and I have to get off facebook or stop playing text twist. I am in charge of orienting them to college even though I failed to attend every/any college orientation that I have been invited to attend. And many of them I actually don't think should ever become nurses, ever. I would rather bleed to death then have some of these people take responsibility for my life.
On the flip side I do go to school in a warehouse so really what can be expected... not much.

I heart TV
There are two reasons why I currently heart TV.
1. The biggest loser. It makes me cry and laugh and I feel like I am a part of these people's lives. And I usually watch it while eating something like chips and queso. Maybe I am just preparing myself to be a contestant someday.
2. Soapnet. Yes I have been a soap opera junkie at certain points in my life but for now I love this channel because there are not one but two episodes of 90210 (the old one - I still can't believe they even made a new one) every day. And they go in order. So pretty I can just keep watching and watching and the seasons move very quickly. And i heart it, like I did when I was eight and used to sneak up to my parents bedroom to watch.

Never thought the day would come...
I can truly say that I never thought the day would come where I would quit working at The Gap.... well at least not any time soon. I thought I would for sure get my five year watch at the very least. Funny how things never work out the way we plan them too. I think most were shocked to hear me say that I was actually quitting... like for reals this time. It was a bitter sweet day to leave the people that I have spent the last 3 1/2 years with. They have definitely become family to me and I will miss them... but if I never fold another shirt again it will be too soon! So, I suppose this is the ending of a chapter.

Pay it forward...
The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch though...Post this same thing on your own blog and then come back and leave a comment telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift!
Really I am only doing this because i want lindsay to make me something cool. But I will make you something cool as well... i did get a sewing machine for christmas.

Homeless people rock...
So I was put in charge of our wards turn to do "Friends of the Desert" or rather feed the homeless today at a church in old Henderson. Kind of forgot how much I kind of like chillin with homeless peeps. For any of you who knew me in college - you would know that I pretty much lived for the day that I was put on bus token duty at my internship - I was saving the world one bus token at a time if you ask bri. So pretty much I am making a goal to find ways in which I can help out more at that church... cause I forget how much homeless people really do rock.
Disclaimer: I totally understand that being homeless is no good - but getting a chance to talk to a group of them today really reminded me how much like me they really are.

Resolutions never last...
They say new years resolutions never stick. Mine was to start eating healthier. I started out good by eating a salad for lunch. I was thinking that this new habit of mine was going to be easy. But somehow pizza and ice cream made its way to my dinner plate. Hmmm.... it can't be good when you throw your resolution out the window on January 1. On a better note... I was happy to see that I blogged my new years resolutions from last year...
1. Read the gospel doctrine lesson and relief society lesson each week before going to church
2. Make a plan to go back to school
3. Get my creative juices flowing again
4. Buy a sewing machine and actually learn how to sew.
5. Actually learn how to use my fancy camera and take more pictures
6. Learn how to use photoshop
7. Work on family history... actually get names ready to go to the temple
8. Travel at least once out of the country
9. Find a job that actually makes me use my brain
10. Move into my own bedroom at some point
11. Keep in better touch with friends
12. Start to live the life I imagined for myself - live it for me!
13. Cook more - try making new things
14. Do my laundry when the basket gets full... not when it explodes
15. Spend more time with my famliy
16. Finish painting my house
1,2,3,4,7,10,16 check (for the most part)
I guess its hopeful that resolving to do something might actually work
